Kelly Washington signs with Philly

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Saturday that they have signed veteran wide receiver Kelley Washington to a one-year contract.

If they are unsure of their WR depth, maybe they would be interested in trading for Clayton?
Either way, it's nice to see Washington getting some work. I would have liked to have seen him kept in Baltimore over DWill.

Re: Kelly Washington signs with Philly
He was brilliant for us on 3rd down last year. Wish we had resigned him.

Re: Kelly Washington signs with Philly
Glad to see him get a shot, especially in the NFC, not AFC...
He wouldn't have fit in the "new WR corps"...He was looking for the same or more targets in the passing game. The addition of Boldin immediately puts him #3 at best, which is less than what he was last year (Mostly #3, but he was out as a #2 sometimes). Also add in Stallworth, again, at best he's fighting for a #3 spot.
Granted, not sure how many targets he'll see in Philly, but I think our additions of Boldin and Stallworth kind've bumped him out to the point where he'd just be forcing a guy like David Reed or DWill off the team.

Do you really think DWill can make this team?
I dont. In fact, I'd be surprised if he made it through the first round of cuts.

Re: Kelly Washington signs with Philly
Actually, all the WRs have been doing good so far...
According to either Aaron Wilson or Jamison Hensley, the WR pecking order seems to be...
Boldin
Mason
Stallworth
Clayton
DWill
Reed
"The Field"
So, there is at least a chance DWill makes this team if Reed slips up or the coaches decide he makes more of an impact than Reed. But yeah, I'd say he's in the cuts. He's only in first cutdown if the team wants to give him a better shot to catch on somewhere else

Sorry to see him go, but in the end is best for both parties. Wish him nothing but the best. Hahaha I look foward to seeing a few celebrations on sportscenter.

Good luck and best wishes to Kelly Washington, he was a good Raven while he was here.
